We describe a method for approximate reconstruction of main hydrophysic fields using deep-water thermohaline measurements. Methods for solving both non-stationary and stationary, known as “diagnostic” problems, are presented. Proposed approaches are based on full non-linear system of equations of geophysical thermo-hydrodynamics. A series of results of computations performed from the mid 80-s and up to nowadays are reported.
