The Determination of the Ship Motion Amplitudes in ‎Shallow Water by Means of the Three-Dimensional Theory

Semenova V.U., Than Htun Aung

This paper describes the solution of the problem of the ship motions in regular waves in shallow water by ‎means of the three-dimensional source technique. The unknown velocity potentials are represented with ‎the help of the Green function of three-dimensional pulsating source. Results of the computations of ‎surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch and yaw amplitudes for different depth parameter h/T are presented. Final-‎ly, the considerable influence of the shallow water effect on the amplitudes of different motion modes is ‎graphically illustrated and discussed.
