This issue’s articles are devoted to analysis of underwater robotics current state and prospects of its ‎development for the purpose of studies of hydro physical processes in the ocean; approaches, ‎criteria and algorithms for evaluating effectiveness of solving the object detection problem by using ‎multichannel information system. Moreover, issue presents papers of the first young scientists’ ‎‎«Applied Technology of Hydroacoustics and Hydrophysics» conference participants. Their papers ‎are devoted to physical modeling of target detection capabilities by using various hydroacoustic ‎facilities; development of the shadow devices image formation methods.

This issue’s articles are devoted to studies of hydrodynamics and dynamics of marine objects and ‎their physical fields; solving relevant hydrophysical problems by applying traditional theoretical ‎and experimental methods, as well as using some new information technologies; solution in linear ‎formulation of the three-dimensional problem related to ship motions in shallow water; solution of ‎the motion of a cone near the free surface linear problem by using potential theory methods; ‎solution of the problem of effect of wave motion, dissipative forces of hydrodynamic resistance ‎and internal friction in rope on the lifted load dynamics; algorithm of the underwater objects` ‎external architecture design based on computer design technology in the absence of prototype; ‎computational and theoretical study of the impact of elongated object on its movement capacity ‎needs; the adjusted approximate dependency for calculating hydrodynamic loads on wire ropes ‎while towing objects; ways of ensuring hydroacoustic compatibility on one carrier in solving ‎various problems.

This issue’s articles are devoted to current state, trends and directions in the development of ‎hydroacoustics and hydrophysics; the study results of regularities of internal waves in the deep ‎ocean propagation, which showed that there exists quite large number of stratifications admitting ‎‎”non-reflective” wave propagation; study of transformation of harmonic surface-waves in deep ‎water; possibility of using the large-eddy simulation method for solving various hydrophysical ‎problems; description of the advanced operational forecasting system of the Gulf of Finland ‎hydrodynamic characteristics on the basis of hydrodynamic module of the Baltic Sea ‎eutrophication model, which is designed in St. Petersburg; need to create hydroacoustic databases ‎and geoacoustic seabed models; algorithm for determining frequency-contrast characteristics of ‎aqueous layers based on brightness of laser pulse scattered by water; overview of the aperture ‎synthesis methods of hydroacoustic antennas in passive mode, results of their tests on real and test ‎signals.

This issue’s articles are devoted to current state and development trends in dynamics of sea waves ‎in coastal zone and their effect on shore and its facilities; mechanisms of abnormal (rogue) waves ‎appearance near the vertical barriers and regularities of waves hitting anterior flat front on a vertical ‎plate; the results of laboratory experiments and numerical simulations; statistical aspects of ‎characteristics of irregular long sea waves rolling onto a constant slope shore in the framework of ‎nonlinear theory of shallow water; models and methods for calculating short-term storm ‎deformations on sandy shores of ponds and long-term coastal evolution depending on the sea level ‎changes and the sediment budget imbalance; sustainability evaluation of shallow sea coastal slopes, ‎trapezoidal or triangular channel cross sections based on the approximate solution of three-‎dimensional wave equations; analysis of spatial and long-term changes in the properties of wind ‎waves of the Gulf of Finland based on visual observations and model calculations of high ‎resolution wind fields for the Baltic Sea; mathematical modeling features of wave and ‎hydrodynamic regimes in protected waters.‎
