In the paper the brief analysis of the research concerning tsunami action on the obstacles that idealize the main types of off-shore hydraulic structures is given. The impermeable obstacles as vertical wall, vertical cylinder as well as partly buried having squared shape obstacles are considered. The authors’ research results are cited too. The aim of the undertaken analysis is to elaborate the engineering design procedures for the wave loadings estimation.
