Analysis of the Wind Wave Parameter Calculation Algorithm Using the ‎Hydrostatic Level Gauge Data

Kishchenko A.A.

The seawater wind wave parameter calculation algorithm  has been analyzed with the help  of comparative measurements made by the depth hydrostatic level gauge and the surface wave-graph. The algorithm is based on the method of the hydrostatic level gauge wave record decomposition to the spectral components, adjusting the values of each component on damping and the surface wave record restoring. The author of the work proposed and tested some improvements of processing technology using spectral observations of hydrostatic gauges, tailored to coastal wave processes on the sea surface. The calculated results deviate from the surface wave-graph data by less than 10%.
